Most Common Questions

Web Hosting

What is Shared Hosting?

Shared hosting is a type of web hosting service where many websites reside on one web server connected to the Internet. Each site sits on its own section on the server, to keep it separate from other sites. This is generally the most economical option for hosting, as many people share the overall cost of server maintenance.

What is VPS Hosting?

Unlike shared hosting where a single web server is shared among several websites/users, a VPS hosting consists of a virtual server with dedicated resources (CPU and Memory) and operating system exclusively allotted to a single client. Since VPS comes with root access, clients will have more power and control to run their websites.

What is Dedicated Hosting?

Dedicated hosting is where you get a complete web server with actual hardware and resources exclusively allotted to your own use. No other website or users reside on this server except you. With complete root access and ability to install your own scripts and programs, you will have more power and full control over the hosting environment.

What is Reseller Hosting?

Reseller Hosting is where you get a special type of hosting account with an ability to re-sell the allotted space and bandwidth to others for creating third-party websites. As a reseller you purchase the services from us at a wholesale price and then sell it to your own customers. Each of your customers will have their own individual accounts and separate logins. This is the best option for web designers and people wanting to start their own hosting business.

What Operating System is Used on Your Servers?

All Shared Hosting and Reseller plans come with both Linux and Windows operating systems where clients have the option to select their desired OS before placing an order. VPS and Dedicated servers also come with the same option of selecting between Linux and Windows operating systems.

Why Do I Get SSL Security Certificate Warning During cPanel Login?

When you try to connect to the cPanel it will automatically redirect to https (SSL) and you may receive a certificate warning. This is because the server’s “host name” is using a self signed certificate. This isn’t actually a security issue (as the connection is still encrypted), but browsers do complain about this mismatch. You can safely ignore the warning. The instructions to suppress this warning can be found here.
